Human Rights Statement

At Alpine Green, we believe that exceptional jewelry should reflect not only beauty and craftsmanship, but also integrity and respect for the people and communities involved throughout its journey. As a company specialising in fine jewelry featuring Colombian emeralds, we are committed to conducting our business in a responsible, ethical, and transparent manner. Respect for human rights is a fundamental principle that guides our relationships with employees, artisans, suppliers, mining partners, customers, and the communities connected to our supply chain.

Our Commitment

Alpine Green is firmly opposed to all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, bonded labour, child labour, discrimination, harassment, and exploitation.

We are committed to upholding internationally recognised human rights standards and expect the same commitment from all individuals and organisations with whom we do business. We seek to work only with partners who share our values of dignity, fairness, accountability, and respect.

Responsible Sourcing of Colombian Emeralds

Colombia is home to some of the world’s most extraordinary emeralds. We recognize that the gemstone industry, like many extractive industries, carries responsibilities related to labour conditions, community welfare, environmental stewardship, and ethical sourcing.

Alpine Green works closely with trusted suppliers, cutters, exporters, and jewelry manufacturers who demonstrate responsible business practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Whenever possible, we prioritize suppliers that can provide transparency regarding the origin of gemstones and the conditions under which they were extracted, processed, and traded.

We do not knowingly source emeralds or precious materials from operations associated with human rights abuses, forced labour, unsafe working conditions, corruption, or illegal activities.

Supplier Standards and Due Diligence

We expect all suppliers and business partners to operate in accordance with applicable labour, employment, health and safety, and human rights laws.

Our suppliers are expected to:

  • Prohibit all forms of forced, compulsory, or involuntary labour.
  • Prohibit child labour and comply with minimum legal working age requirements.
  • Provide safe and healthy working conditions.
  • Respect freedom of association and collective bargaining rights where permitted by law.
  • Promote equal opportunity and prohibit discrimination or harassment.
  • Pay wages and benefits in accordance with applicable laws and industry standards.
  • Conduct business with honesty, integrity, and transparency.

As part of our supplier selection and ongoing relationship management processes, we assess suppliers based on ethical, operational, and sourcing criteria. Where concerns arise, we engage with suppliers to seek clarification and corrective action.

Continuous Monitoring and Improvement

We recognize that responsible sourcing is an ongoing process rather than a one-time assessment. Supply chains evolve, risks change, and continuous vigilance is required.

Alpine Green therefore maintains ongoing dialogue with suppliers and industry to strengthen transparency and encourage responsible practices throughout the gemstone and jewelry supply chain.

Where we identify potential violations of our standards, we seek to work constructively with the relevant partner to implement corrective measures. If appropriate remediation cannot be achieved, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the business relationship.

Respect for Workers and Communities

We believe that sustainable business success depends on the well-being of the people who contribute to it.

We support fair treatment, safe working environments, and opportunities for economic development within the communities connected to our supply chain. We value the skills and expertise of miners, lapidaries, artisans, jewelers, and all professionals whose work contributes to the creation of our jewelry.

By promoting responsible sourcing and ethical business practices, we aim to contribute positively to the long-term sustainability of the Colombian emerald sector and the communities that depend upon it.

Employee Commitment

Within our own business, Alpine Green is committed to providing a workplace founded on respect, diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity.

We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or any form of unfair treatment. Employees are encouraged to raise concerns regarding unethical conduct, human rights issues, or workplace practices without fear of retaliation.

Looking Forward

Human rights due diligence is an ongoing responsibility. As Alpine Green continues to grow, we remain committed to strengthening our policies, enhancing supplier engagement, improving transparency, and promoting responsible sourcing practices across our operations.

We believe that luxury jewelry should be created in a manner that respects people, communities, and future generations.

This Human Rights Statement applies to Alpine Green and all entities operating under the Alpine Green brand. It is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains aligned with evolving best practices and our commitment to responsible business conduct.
